“ We had a reservation and were seated within 5 mins. It was a packed house. We were seated right next to the main door and it was freezing!! That door did not stop opening. I do not recommend sitting at the first table. Service was great! The food was good. There were so many choices. It was difficult to make a decision. Mocktail is good if you like really sweet drinks. The burger was so big, there was no way to eat it without a fork and knife. It was very Good. The best part was the corn bread. I highly recommend!! ”
“ Great experience , we ordered steak and lobster . The only criticism I have as a person with past experience as a sous chef is they need to cook there vegetables . The carrots couldn't be cut with a knife and the green beans were like they threw them in hot water . Other than that the steak and lobster were fantastic . The Caesar salad was a little fishy and had a little more than the core of the romaine but they happily fixed that . I'm just here so they can see , if they fix the vegetables issue they will have perfection ”
“ Took my beautiful girlfriend out to a date last weekend and it was amazing. Such a beautiful experience and amazing atmosphere. From the drinks & food to the amazing service. We had an amazing waitress (kai'li) was such a kind soul who made the entire experience so memorable. ”
“ What a hidden gem in Monterey area!! We were craving seafood and steak during our visit and found this place. We were greeted and seated right away and the hosts were super kind. I loved how much options there were in each category. It was definitely hard choosing which appetizers to get, but we ended up with tempura artichoke hearts, tempura sticks, and avocado/poke wontons. The wontons were my favorite as the fish was just so fresh and delicious. Each appetizer came with a sauce that blended perfectly well with it. Warning: don't order too much appetizers if you're in a party of 4, otherwise you'll be full after your first bite of your entree lol. The seafood pasta was definitely a must-try as it came with a variety of seafoods if you're into that. Everything we had was rated a 8+/10 and I'm satisfied from trying this place! ”
“ We've been here many times and every time the service and food is fantastic! One of the few restaurants on the peninsula that is always peaceful and runs smooth. Servers are very attentive. Happy New Year Billy and staffThank you for another wonderful dining experience ”
“ Located in the Del Monte Shopping Center Kona Steak and Seafood pleasantly surprised me. I thought it was a tourist trap and as a local I wasn't interested but I was proven wrong. We got seated by the owner who has owned 9 restaurants and lived in Hawaii. They have an extensive menu so it can be overwhelming but there's something for everyone to try so I loved the options. The atmosphere was cozy with some island flare without it being cheesy. Food came out hot and fresh and portions were pretty good! I think Id come back for a girls lunch or date night. Worth a try! ”
“ Poipu, Kaua`I: 7 visits. Lāhainā, Maui: 2 visits Honolulu, O`ahu: 2 visits, 1 for business, 1 for pleasure (our Honeymoon) Kona, Hawaii (The Big Island): 0 visits, buts it's on my bucket list. Kona Steak & Seafood, Monterey, California: 2 visits, but only 1 meal. Let. Me. Explain. On our recent visit to Beautiful Monterey, California, we checked out Yelp to see what new places we could try that we hadn't been to on previous visits to the Central Coast. Kona Steak & Seafood popped up and suddenly it was at the top of our list. So after some fun in the sun at the hotel pool, we all went back to the room, got ready and made our way to Kona. It was a Saturday evening in October about 7 p.m... "We don't need no Stinkin' Reservations!" (Is what confidently told my wife) Wrong!!! (Me, I was wrong) The place was slammed and all the tables were booked until later that evening. Fast forward a day later... I'll use the Famous Quote by Former U.S. President George W. Bush... "There's an old saying in Tennessee- I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee- that says, fool me once, shame on- shame on you. Fool me- you can't get fooled again." Well Mr. President, this couldn't have been truer for either of us! Haha The that next day, I made a reservation for 7 p.m. and made sure we had a table saved for us on Sunday evening. Upon our arrival, you know we had a glass of the Central Coasts finest Chardonnay to start our dinner off with a W. From there, everything and I mean EVERYTHING just. got. better. The softest, fluffiest complimentary bread & butter hit our table.... And it was Epic! From there, Since we were at Kona Steak & Seafood... I Surfed... All while my Wife and Kids Turfed!! I went with their Hibachi Seared Ahi Tuna which I was very pleased with. My plate was practically licked clean afterwards! My wife went with their Top Sirloin topped with Port Wine sauce, a side of veggies and she upgraded to a baked potato that was packed with cheddar cheese... (don't worry, I snagged a couple pieces of her steak to make sure it was "Poisonous") As for the kids, If chicken strips & fries is an option... Then, they're all set! As we were eating... Suddenly, a few tables over... Smoke started filling the air! Was the Kona Volcano finally erupting?? No, but it might as well have! Thankfully, it was just dessert and you know we had to get one for our table as well. Ice cream, covered with shaved Ice and fresh fruit over a bowl of Dry Ice mixed with a little water.... What could go wrong?? Let me tell you... It. Was. AWESOMEEE!!! The smoke filled dessert was the highlight of our night and brought huge smiles to our kids faces, and to ours if we are being honest! And if you have kids too... I highly recommend getting this for them (of course, if they eat all their food). As for Kona Steak & Seafood in Monterey, CA... I will definitely make it a 3rd visit the next time we return to the Central Coast! ”
“ We had a great dining experience. Great ambience and decor. The little gift shop at the front actually works with the vibe and does not seem cheesy or kitchy. There were moments I felt like I was in Honolulu, which is a good thing. Incredible service from everyone from the front desk, bar, and server. Our server Mattei, Mattie, Mateo (or something like that) was a real pro. The cocktails were really good, and while expensive , the bartender gave a good pour on the booze. I expected Cheesecake Factory-like food quality (average at best) but it was actually much better. In fact, we had the best calamari I've had in my life. My companion's salmon was excellent, and my Loco Moco was really good. Price is pretty high, but I think that's just standard for Monterey. Enjoyed our time and would definitely come back. Easy parking. ”
“ Surprised to see a great restaurant in Monterey away from all the crowds. This restaurant is located in a shopping mall. Parking was plenty. The menu have lots of great selections. Interior is great, feels like you are transported to Hawaii. Reservations was easy online. Foods are mostly good. - Calamari(chewy, not recommended) - ahi tuna(good) - steak(good, cooked to perfection) - kids meal: fried rice with spam(good) - brussel sprouts(good) Will definitely come back when we are in the area. ”
